In a shocking incident in Florida, 22-year-old pizza delivery driver Brianna Alvelo has been charged with attempted murder following an attack on a pregnant customer over a tip dispute. The incident took place at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee, where Alvelo delivered a pizza earlier in the evening.

According to reports, Alvelo became upset after receiving a $2 tip on an order totaling $33.10. She allegedly returned to the customer’s motel room armed with a knife, accompanied by an unknown male accomplice armed with a firearm. They forced their way into the room, where Alvelo stabbed the pregnant woman 14 times, causing severe injuries including a ruptured lung. The attack occurred in front of the victim’s 5-year-old daughter and her boyfriend, who were also threatened during the assault.

The victim, who was celebrating her boyfriend’s birthday at the motel, was rushed to a local hospital where she is currently in stable condition. It was during her treatment that she discovered she was pregnant. Alvelo was arrested and is being held without bond, facing charges of attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

This case has sparked a broader discussion on the safety of delivery workers and the potential for escalation in disputes over tipping. Local authorities continue to search for Alvelo’s accomplice, who remains at large.

The incident has led to widespread condemnation and has reignited debates over the adequacy of tipping practices and the pressures faced by delivery workers. The local pizza franchise, Marco’s Pizza, has stated they are fully cooperating with the investigation.
