An Amber Alert has been issued for three young siblings who were abducted Thursday morning from the Bobby’s Way apartment complex in Fishersville, Virginia. Authorities believe the children were taken by their biological mother, Shanice Chante Davidson.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office reported that the abduction occurred around 7:40 AM as the children were waiting for their school bus. A black, four-door vehicle pulled up to the bus stop, and Davidson allegedly forced the children into the car before driving away.

The missing children are:
Jai’Marcus Lewis, 10, Black male, last seen wearing a black and dark blue jacket with neon zippers.
Ja’Miyah Lewis, 8, Black female, wearing a pink jacket.
Ja’Liyah Lewis, 6, Black female, also wearing a pink jacket.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Shanice Chante Davidson, a 35-year-old Black female. She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 184 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Law Enforcement Actions and Public Appeal

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding the abduction at 8:27 AM, initiating an immediate search and issuing an Amber Alert. Deputies and law enforcement agencies across the state are collaborating to locate the children and suspect.

“We are treating this case with the utmost urgency,” said Sheriff Donald Smith during a press conference. “We ask anyone with information to come forward immediately to help reunite these children with their family.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at 540-245-5333 or call 911. Citizens are advised not to approach the vehicle or suspect if spotted, but to report their location to law enforcement immediately.

The abduction has left residents in the Fishersville area deeply concerned, with many calling for increased safety measures for children at bus stops. “This is every parent’s worst nightmare,” said one neighbor.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement has emphasized the importance of community involvement in resolving the situation.

This is a developing story. Authorities urge residents to stay alert and share any relevant information with the appropriate channels.
