Angus Young and AC/DC are set to electrify U.S. audiences once again in 2025, kicking off their first U.S. tour in nearly a decade with a high-voltage performance at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on April 10.
AC/DC, the legendary Australian rock band known for their hard-hitting anthems and timeless hits, will return to North America next spring as part of their Power Up Tour. The ba
Led by iconic guitarist Angus Young, who continues to rock the stage in his trademark schoolboy uniform, the band is primed to deliver a show filled with their classic hits like “Highway to Hell,” “Thunderstruck,” “Hells Bells,” “T.N.T.,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.” Their setlist is expected to lean heavily on fan favorites, as it did during their European dates earlier this year, though one or two tracks from their 2020 album Power Up could
Joining Angus Young on this highly anticipated tour is vocalist Brian Johnson, who famously stepped in after Bon Scott’s death in the late ’70s and helped launch the band into global superstardom with Back in Black. Johnson’s return to the stage follows a period of vocal issues, which saw Axl Rose fill in on some dates during the band’s 2016 tour. With breaks between shows, the band is taking extra care to preserve Johnson’s vocal health.
The current lineup also features Stevie Young, Angus and Malcolm Young’s nephew, taking over for Malcolm on guitar, continuing the family legacy. Longtime bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd, both of whom retired from touring in recent years, have opted to stay off the road, but both contributed to the band’s 2020 album, Power Up.
The Minneapolis show will be a major highlight in the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations, which included a European tour this summer. The band’s enduring appeal is evident, as the Xcel Energy Center show in 2016 sold out quickly, underscoring the band’s ongoing popularity in Minnesota.
Tickets for the April 10 concert go on sale at noon on Friday via Ticketmaster, though full details on presale options, ticket prices, and opening acts have yet to be released. For the band’s recent European performances, ticket prices ranged from just over $100 to nearly $500 USD, and fans are likely to see similar pricing for the U.S. tour.
With their unmistakable sound, explosive stage presence, and iconic hits, AC/DC is set to prove that they can still rock as hard as ever — even as they edge closer to their 70th birthdays. Fans in Minneapolis and across the country will no doubt be ready to salute them when the band brings its electrifying show to town next spring.
