Not long ago, much of the world’s population didn’t even have electricity, yet today, almost everyone carries a supercomputer in their pocket. By 2025, artificial intelligence is expected to impact over 200 million jobs. Figures like Elon Musk are already suggesting, “The world is on the brink of stepping into a future where humans and robots merge.”
On the other hand, nature continues to sound the alarm. Melting glaciers, raging wildfires, and dwindling water resources draw a stark contrast to the relentless march of technological progress. While people immerse themselves in the fast-paced digital age, are efforts to save our planet being left behind?
Artificial Intelligence vs. Humanity
Another striking point is the increasing mechanization of emotions and relationships. We spend hours on social media, forgetting to touch, to look each other in the eye. What if one day artificial intelligence asks us, “I’ve become as human as you—are you still human?”
Perhaps the real question is this: Should we seek the future not in technology but in our connections with nature and each other? The answer to the question, “Where is the world heading?” may lie in solving this equation.
